Where we work?

DDRA coordinates work in the Darfur region primarily through five well-established offices namely:

North Darfur Office (Al- Fashir)

It is DDRA’s Regional Office and was established in 2008; from there, all Darfur programs are managed. The office is managed by the Darfur Program Manger and is assisted by project coordinators and senior project officers. The office is staffed and equipped with five vehicles, two generators, computers, printers and other equipment necessary for the work.

West Darfur Office (El Geneina)

The West Darfur Office was established in 2010 as a result of the DRA and MedAir Swiss partnership in the field of supporting the capacities of the local communities. Two other projects followed: Market Monitoring   and Trade analysis (MMTA) funded by different donors at different stages (the last of which is the EU), as well as the Community   Environment    Action Plan (CEAP) funded by the UNEP.  Currently, there are two more projects running. The office is staffed and equipped with two vehicles, a generator, computers and other necessary working facilities.

Central Darfur Office (Zalingei)

The Zalingei office was established in March, 2013 as a result of the MMTA project’s expansion to cover Greater Darfur. The office is employs a number of the employees as well as work equipment such as a road worthy vehicle, a generator, computers and other equipment necessary for running the MMTA project.

South Darfur Office (Nyala)

The South Darfur Office was opened in June 2014 after long-drawn-out discussions with the authorities over a long period of time regarding the introduction of the MMTA project to the South Darfur community. Eventually, however, the organization won the authorities’ acceptance and started the Market Monitoring and Trade Analysis (MMTA) in the area in July 2014. The office is staffed and equipped with a vehicle, a generator, computers and other devices for running the MMTA project.

East Darfur Office (El Da’ein)

In September 2014, DRA’s East Darfur office was established for the implementation of the MMTA project in the East Darfur state, thereby completing DRA’s expansion across the entire Darfur region. The office is staffed and supplied with a vehicle, a generator, computers and other relevant equipment us to run the MMTA project.
